'Another bite of the Apple' marketing campaign

The challenge:

The client, a leading provider of school trips, sought to expand their reach within existing secondary schools. The goal? To incentivize current clients to recommend the brand to their colleagues, in order to drive new bookings.

A printed campaign was already in place, which promoted Apple vouchers for schools as an incentive- the lead capture landing page now had to embody the clean, minimalistic appeal of an Apple website, and maintain consistency with the existing promotional graphics.

The design sprint:

With just two days to execute, the pressure was on. As the sole digital designer working on the project, I donned my conversion rate optimization (CRO) hat to design and code a landing page template that would be:

  • Visually stunning: Think sleek lines, crisp visuals, and an Apple-inspired aesthetic.
  • Conversion-focused: Every element, from the sticky referral button to the strategically placed form, had to drive action.
  • User-friendly: Smooth navigation, intuitive design, and a clear call to action (CTA) were paramount.

Beyond the landing page:

My expertise extended beyond the landing page. I also designed a marketing email template to promote the campaign, ensuring a cohesive brand experience and utilizing A/B testing to optimize performance. The user journey wasn't forgotten either - I designed and produced trigger emails to nurture leads generated through referrals.

Collaboration:

The project thrived on teamwork. I worked hand-in-hand with the brand manager to refine copy, and collaborated with the print designer to achieve consistency across all campaign materials.

The result:

The landing page's UI provided a constant presence of the referral button, which coupled with the auto-scroll feature and a strategically hidden enquiry button, ensured maximum focus on the form - the conversion engine of the campaign.
