The client, an educational summer camps provider required a 1 minute video advertising their new app, for promotional purposes across digital channels.
The first step in this process was to speak with the client and gain an understanding of what the key USP’s of the app were. I then researched similar app advert videos on YouTube, before coming up with some initial brainstorm ideas.
Before animating anything, I produced a storyboard for the animation and some concept boards to illustrate the idea. I also sourced a soundtrack and got all of these elements approved before beginning to animate in Adobe After Effects.
The client brand colours made heavy use of contrasting red and green colours – this is not ideal for design accessibility due to colour blindness so I was careful within the animation to use the contrast carefully, and not place these colours on top of one another.
